I have
advised a number of organizations on
process innovation, software engineering & management, quality assurance, project management, and IT
strategy. The companies include Gartner, Intel, Ericsson, Volvo, AstraZeneca, Danske
Bank, Cbeyond Communications, Byers Engineering, and Systematic Software Engineering. I give
courses and seminars to managers and IT professionals on a regular basis.

Together with Andreas Munk-Madsen I founded and managed Metodica, a
Danish consultancy company offering services to IT departments and
software houses. Metodica was established in 1986 and I was active
within the company until 2002.
-
I have
served as expert consultant for a number of European Research &
Development Programs including Functional Analysis of Office
Requirements and Euromethod.
Awards and Recognition
-
In 1991, I was awarded Teacher of the Year among 500 colleagues at
the Science & Technology Faculty at University of Aalborg
(Prize: 25.000 dkr.).
-
In 1994, Aalborg University had, for the first time, the
opportunity to promote a small number of its approximately 60
full professors. Together with six colleagues I was awarded an
annual bonus (45.000 dkr) for my contributions to research,
research education, and education in general.

In
